boulderProject TeamWorks targets youth indoor climbing gym teams to communicate the boulderProject mantra and put it into action.
The mission of boulderProject TeamWorks is two-fold: 1) educate young indoor climbers on the transition from inside to outside environments by focusing on Leave No Trace ethics and responsible rock climbing habits; and 2) instill and foster a sense of stewardship and pride in caring for our outside climbing environments leading to long term conservation of climbing areas.
In TeamWorks, climbing gym youth teams compete for a cash grant/award for their youth program.
There are two ways to participate in TeamWorks:
Teams host or attend an Adopt-a-Crag event and amass points based on total volunteer hours, team size, and type of work performed.
●Teams that host Adopt-a-Crag events will count the hours of all the attending volunteers, including non-team members.
●Teams that attend existing Adopt-a-Crag events will count the hours of team members and coaching staff only.
